Hello, Everyone!

I am excited to show you a new subscription that is serving the literary world!  This subscription is called The Letters Lit, and it brings you fun items each month connected to a different novel.  However, the novel is not included so that you can buy the book on your own as an ebook or in a different language!  This subscription is cheaper than other book boxes, and it is a great way to get your literary fix.  Enjoy!

As a huge book lover, I couldn’t wait to try The Letters Lit!  The idea of a book box without the book is appealing because it is cheaper, and that way you can get the book as an ebook or in a different language on your own time.

The Letters Lit comes in a fancy envelope inside of a bubble mailer.  I love the old-fashioned look of the envelope, and it makes such a nice surprise!

This month’s book choice is Friends & Foes by Sarah M. Eden.  The book choice comes on this card with the synopsis on the back!  I love historical novels, so I was happy that this was the book choice.

After five years of tracking and capturing spies on English soil, Philip Jonquil, Earl of Lampton, is in pursuit of his last quarry. But at a traveler’s inn, he encounters an unexpected and far more maddening foe: Sorrel Kendrick, a young lady who is strikingly pretty, shockingly outspoken, and entirely unimpressed with him. Indeed, Sorrel cannot believe the nerve of this gentleman, who rudely accuses her of theft and insults her feminine dignity. Doubly annoyed when they both end up at a party hosted by mutual friends, Philip and Sorrel privately declare war on one another. But Philip’s tactics, which range from flirting to indifference, soon backfire as he finds himself reluctantly enjoying Sorrel’s company; and, much to her dismay, Sorrel finds Philip’s odd manner to be increasingly endearing. In the midst of this waning war and growing attraction, Philip catches wind of the French spy he’s been tracking, and Sorrel inadvertently stumbles upon a crucial piece of the puzzle, making her indispensable to the mission. But can two proud hearts negotiate a ceasefire when cooperation matters most?

The envelope also comes with a letter from the creators!  I love this personal touch because it goes into depth about the novel choice.

The next items are printed photos that correlate with the novel!  These bring the book to life, and I love the regency flair to them.  The back of each photo contains information on the image.

Also included is this recipe for Pumpkin Spice Cookies!  These are perfect for fall, and they look delicious.  I love baking, so I will be putting this recipe to good use!  I like how elegant the recipe is, and how it connects to the essence of the novel.

The next item is an Orange & Cinnamon Spice tea bag from Twinings!  I love this tea, and it pairs well with the cookie recipe.

Also included is a bookmark linked to the novel!  I love the design of this bookmark, and I will be using it when I purchase the book.

The next item is this gorgeous locket!  It is quite heavy and of very good quality.  The design matches the Regency era well, and I can’t wait to wear it!

The last item is this ribbon bookmark with a birdbath charm on it!  It is quite elegant, and I will be happy to use it when I read.

Final Thought: I think that The Letters Lit is an excellent book box alternative for those who want the accessories from a box, without the book!  Every item included brought the book to life, and I loved how flower petals were included to make the letter feel like a love letter.  Each item was carefully curated, and I really felt like I entered the novel by getting this subscription.  If you would like a unique alternative to a book subscription, then The Letters Lit is a great way to get a little envelope surprise each month!
